Casa Mínima: Passivhaus retreat in the Pasiegos Valleys.

Created by Estudio Mínima, a sustainable design space where you can connect with nature and calm.

Casa Mínima:

dwelling with attention, building with soul

In the heart of the Pasiegos Valleys, Casa Mínima was born from ruins and a certainty: it is possible to build differently. More consciously. More quietly. More honestly.

Where others saw rubble, we saw memory and matter. We restored the old cabin with respect and precision, applying the Passivhaus standard and using natural materials: lime, stone, wood.

Every decision was an act of listening. We opened the house to light while preserving its rural soul. We recycled beams to give them new life as furniture. Here, architecture doesn't impose: it offers itself.

Casa Mínima is a refuge for those seeking an authentic sustainable tourism experience in Cantabria. But also, and above all, for those who sense that another way of inhabiting the world is possible.

What makes Casa Mínima unique?

Passivhaus Certification

High energy efficiency, constant interior temperature, and real comfort throughout the year.

Natural and local materials

Lime, wood, dry stone, and other organic materials carefully selected to reduce environmental impact.

Balance between tradition and contemporaneity

We respect the original architecture and its rural character, but open the space to light and adapt it to a current and conscious way of living.

Exceptional location

In the midst of nature, yet accessible, in one of the most authentic and serene valleys of Cantabria.

Casa Mínima is not just accommodation: it's our way of being in the world.

With attention, with care, and with the joy of sharing it.

Day Area

An open space that integrates kitchen, dining room, and living room. Large windows frame the landscape and dissolve the boundaries between interior and exterior. Natural light transforms the atmosphere throughout the day, like a silent choreography.

Bedrooms

Two spacious rooms conceived as true rest refuges. Simplicity, noble materials, and carefully framed views create an atmosphere of deep serenity.

Bathrooms

Two full bathrooms and a toilet that continue the essential language of the house. Mineral finishes, soft textures, and a sober aesthetic turn the daily ritual into a sensory experience.

Exterior Spaces

A large patio open to the landscape extends the livable experience towards the exterior. Paved with recovered stone slabs, it's a threshold between the house and the countryside: a place to contemplate, converse, or simply let yourself be.
